When will my coverage start?
When you sign up for coverage during a special enrollment period, the date your coverage starts will be different depending on:
- What your qualifying event is
- The date we get your requested documents (application, Account Change Form, or subsidy eligibility form)
- Where you live
For California - Determination by Covered California of exceptional circumstances
Your coverage will start any day of the month as determined by your state's health benefit exchange, including a date in the past.
