When will my coverage start?
When you sign up for coverage during a special enrollment period, the date your coverage starts will be different depending on:
- What your qualifying event is
- The date we get your requested documents (application, Account Change Form, or subsidy eligibility form)
- Where you live
For California - Loss of minimum essential health coverage
If we receive your application: | Your coverage will start: |
---|---|
On or before last date of coverage | First day of the month following the last date of coverage |
Anytime following the last date of coverage | First day of the month after receipt of your application |
