When will my coverage start?

When you sign up for coverage during a special enrollment period, the date your coverage starts will be different depending on:

  • What your qualifying event is
  • The date we get your requested documents (application, Account Change Form, or subsidy eligibility form)
  • Where you live

For California - Provider network changes

If we receive your requested documents: Your coverage will start:
Between the 1st and the 15th of the month following the event First day of the month after receipt of requested documents
Between the 16th and the last day of the month following the event First day of the second month after receipt of requested documents
